On our fifth week, we visited many communities near to Masaka. We observed different strategies of agriculture and agroforestry. Fistly, we visited one well working company, who is producing plants for selling and also makes scientific test with them. We got detailed a brief overview of methods for growing plants.
We got an educational training about organic farming and agroforestry.
We visited also another organisation in Masaka, who deals with plants. We learnt to fill poly bag for plants. We get a clear overview about combination of different plants in the same "area/field". We learnt new methods of agroforestry.Also, we visited Masaka Ditrict Farmer`s Association, which delivers services to the farmers.
We got a practical exercise with fuel saving stove construction.
We visited also another organisation, which is packing soil and plants for giving away for free to these people, who wish to get them. It is located in the city of Masaka.
